System and method for embedding-cached retrieval-augmented generation
Claims 1 & 7 cover key-value caching of vector queries — overlaps directly with your retrieval layer. Worth a 30-min attorney call before launch.
SemCache: Approximate-match caching for LLM context windows
Same problem space; different distance metric. Worth citing if you ever file.

how it works
Five-minute setup.
Hands-off forever.

- Step 1 of 3
Describe your product once.
Paste a paragraph or your landing page. We use Gemini to extract 6–10 search-ready keywords. You confirm or edit.
- Step 2 of 3
We scan five sources every week.
USPTO + EPO patents, arXiv + PubMed papers, competitor SEC filings, and IP-related news — semantically matched to your stack.
- Step 3 of 3
Only the signals that matter.
Each finding is risk-tagged (low / medium / high) with a one-line action. You read the report in under 5 minutes.

questions
Common questions,
honest answers.
- Is this legal advice?
- No. PriorPatrol is a monitoring and research tool. The risk grades are our best automated estimate; high-stakes decisions should involve a patent attorney. We make this disclaimer visible on every report.
- How is this different from Google Patents or PQAI?
- Those are great for one-off active searches. PriorPatrol is the opposite shape: you describe your product once, and we passively watch for new threats and adjacent work — across patents, papers, competitor SEC filings and news — and surface only what matters.
- What if I miss a real risk?
- We use multi-strategy retrieval (literal keywords + AI-expanded synonyms + concept search) and cross-reference five sources. We also show you the search queries we ran, so you can audit recall yourself. For mission-critical filings, always pair this with a human attorney review.
- Will I get spammed with low-signal alerts?
- No — that's the design constraint. Most weeks, the LOW bucket has 5–20 items you can skim in 30 seconds, and the HIGH bucket is empty. When something HIGH does land, you'll know.
- Can I cancel anytime?
- Yes. One click in settings. We'll keep your historical reports accessible for 90 days after cancellation, in case you need them.
- Do you store my product description?
- Yes — only on Supabase Postgres in us-east-1, encrypted at rest. We never share or train on it. You can delete a watchlist (and its associated data) at any time.
